Fifty-one House Republicans have asked Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III to
reconsider the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, citing the “crippling nature” the mandate
will have on National Guard readiness.
In a July 26 letter, the group also urged Austin to issue guidance that considers natural
immunity.
