Every Day in Uniform Counts
The Enlisted Association of the National Guard believes that “Every Day in Uniform Counts.” Whether you are deployed to the border, attending Drill, or responding to a state emergency: if you are in uniform, your service should be recognized and count towards federal benefits. On October 23, 2019, Legislative Director Daniel Elkins will push for bringing parity to members of the National Guard by highlighting inequities in the law that bar National Guard Servicemembers from earning federal benefits in a public hearing to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs October 23, 2019. By closing these loopholes in the law, EANGUS believes that proper protections and benefits will be given to members of the National Guard, and “Every Day in Uniform” will count for all.
